Shiatsu is an acupressure form of massage. The Japanese word literally means "finger pressure". Like acupuncture, Shiatsu works with a system of meridians, which are lines of energy running along the surface of the body. Each meridian relates to a different organ of the body. This energy can actually be shown by measuring changes in electrical resistance. In ill health this energy is out of balance.
