I use conventional as well as nontraditional treatments for prevention of disease as well as to lose or maintain weight. Due to my extensive background in clinical and outpatient pediatric nutrition, I am excited to bring parent feeding counseling and an individualized child non-diet approach to the Capital District of New York.

My diverse training emphasizing acupuncture and encompassing other modalities, allows me to asses your needs and symptoms and create individualized treatments by combining my knowledge of nutrition, mental health, Chinese Medicine, and Somatic Movement Therapy. I remain a student and am continuously learning new ways for people to achieve self-mastery through healthy sustainable habits. I began my career in the mental health field as a health educator, where I worked for 17 years. In 1993 I received a breast cancer diagnosis and became interested in complementary modalities, including how to use food to heal myself and others.

I graduated the top of my class from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1989. I had worked at Beijing Hospital in the acupuncture department for 13 years. I came to the USA to take a clinical acupuncturist position offered to me in 2002 and I started my own business in 2003. I have experience in pain management, neuropathy, trigger finger, plantar fasciitis, PMS, infertility, menopause, GERD, IBS, allergy, anxiety, depression, rejuvenation, and weight loss etc. My office also offer Chinese herbals and supplements treatment for all kinds of medical condition such as depression, Lyme disease, menopause, pain etc..

He is trained in Sports Massage, Medical Massage, Swedish Massage, Traditional Fire Cupping, Chair Massage, RockTape and RockBlades. In addition to his massage training, Brian also has over six years of training and coaching experience and is a CrossFit Level II certified trainer with specialties in Endurance and Kettlebells. It is his belief that every individual is an athlete with specific needs. Therefore each session is crafted with an in-depth understanding of each unique client.

I am moved by each person's path to open to their own healing. It is a great privilege to act as facilitator, co-explorer, witness and partner in this endeavor. Using various schools and methods of acupuncture and its related practices (diagnosis via the senses, touch, moxibustion, cupping, guasha, plum blossom, essential oils, crystals, magnets) we arrive at an understanding of the body-mind pattern and its treatment.
