I've experienced the healing power of nutrition firsthand, having struggled with insomnia, acne and regular migraines before I realized my diet was the culprit. I have been a practitioner since I graduated from Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1991. For my MS, MD and PHD degrees I specialized in the areas of neurology and gerontology.I practiced acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM) and TCM health Center in Minnesota from October 2004 to April 2010. I practice acupuncture and Chinese herbology in Jing River Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine Edina Clinic, Woodbury Clinic, Roseville Clinic and Hastings Clinic in different location now.

Hi! My name is Melissa and I am both a registered dietitian and a nurse. Although I have learned so much and enjoyed working as a registered nurse in both acute care and outpatient settings, my interests truly lie in chronic disease prevention and management through a healthful diet and lifestyle and in learning from the journey taken toward achieving these goals. My passion is in helping others along their journey to reaching their personal health and wellness goals.

Plus, I can relate to their desperation to get their life back. In 2005 I put my knowledge of nutrition to the test when, two weeks after invasive back surgery I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Shortly afterwards I discovered multiple food allergies. Once those were removed I stopped three prescription medications and feel better than I had in years. I absolutely love bringing that relief to clients!

Common problems I can help: neck and back pains, headaches, carpal tunnel, sciatica, arthritis, digestive problems, infections, high cholesterol, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and others. I offer highly skilled adjustments of the spine, arms and leg joints to relieve pain and discomfort. I also focus on the muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascial imbalances that tend to recreate the pain cycle. By utilizing muscle testing methods I am able to pin point the area of imbalance and correct it with the necessary procedure.

My background in medical nutrition therapy allows me to integrate a clinical approach into realistic nutrition strategies to help you reach your goals.
