Hi! My name is Kelsey and I’ve been a Registered Dietitian since 2014, licensed in the state of Illinois. I’ve always had an interest in food, which started in childhood. I was a very picky eater (sorry mom and dad!), and decided early on that I would be a vegetarian. As I’ve gotten older, I have expanded my food palate, but I’ve always stuck with the morals of eating foods that help me feel good and I believe that is a guiding principle of overall health.

I graduated from Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1987. Since then, I spent over 30 years treating people with all sorts of health problems using acupuncture and/or herb medicine. Early in my practice to prevent surgery, I even self-treated an abdominal egg-sized tumor with severe abdominal pain and constipation. The experience further enhanced my desire and confidence in sharing the power and healing potential of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture with all patients in need of healing and improving health.

I love helping my patients develop a more positive relationship with food and body image. If you're fed up with diets and ready to break free from the diet-binge-guilt cycle, I want to help. I am a Chicago suburb-based Dietitian who received my Bachelors of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics at Southern Illinois University. I completed my dietetic internship and received her MBA in Healthcare Administration from Dominican University in River Forest, IL. I worked over 10 years in an ICU until realizing her passion was preventative medicine and helping people get and stay healthy. We all deserve to feel our best and sometimes we need to peel away layers to get there. Every body is different, I work with you on your individual needs and goals to get you to optimal health.

Dr. Lana Zinger is a Professor of Nutrition, Public Health and Health Coaching. She is a well known author of many textbooks and peer reviewed research articles as well as a national speaker on health and nutrition. She holds a B.S. in Nutrition from NYU, a M.S in Nutrition and Physiology from Columbia University and a Doctorate in Health and Behavior Studies from Columbia University. She is a Registered Dietitian with many years of clinical experience including obesity, diabetes, cancer, heart disease, eating disorders. She is a Certified LEAP therapist to TEST and treat food intolerances.

I am the owner and director of the Bronx Community Wellness Center, a pioneer eastern medicine clinic in the heart of Westchester Square. I also have a private located in Union Square, Manhattan. Although I treat numerous conditions, I tend to specialize in pain management, digestive disorders, emotional issues, and facial rejuvenation. My goal with every treatment is to alleviate pain, treat disease, and promote general health to prevent disease.
