I’ve been practicing nutrition for 5 years and have helped thousands of clients with Diabetes Type 2, menopause, fatigue, and other painful symptoms by focusing on just 1 thing, healing the gut. As a Naturopath, I address the same problems that medical doctors see every day in their office. However, instead of treating a patient with medications that suppress symptoms, I work to find out what is causing the undesirable conditions. By exploring your specific symptoms and body/organ/gland conditions during your consultation, much can be learned about how your body is expressing nutritional deficiencies, the need to detoxify, weakened organ/glands, sensitivity to foods, emotional issues and more. Once this is understood it is often easy to explain how and why such negative symptoms and diseases have surfaced in the body.

Alex is a Board-Certified Registered Dietitian with experience in both medical nutrition therapy and functional medicine. She holds a current position as a full time outpatient dietitian at a top-hospital in Chicago. After completing her undergraduate nutrition degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) she wanted to expand her knowledge and pursue a Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Wellness. Alex's goal is to help people adopt sustainable healthy habits even for the busiest of lifestyles without sacrificing their relationship with food.

When I am not working, I am spending time with my family- my husband, Kevin, and my two young (crazy) boys, Marty and Charlie, and have one more on the way!

A little about me! I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2018. After this, I went on to complete my Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition at the same university in 2020. I completed my clinicals in the Chicago area and became a registered dietitian shortly after finishing up school. I have been working as an outpatient clinical dietitian for over two years now. I started out at Lake County Health Department and am currently working at Advocate Medical Group.

I counsel patients making behavior modifications and lifestyle changes to help them meet their health and nutrition goals. I understand the value of support and accountability when embarking on a new health journey to create long-term, sustainable change. I believe in an integrative approach to health and wellness, providing patient-centered care, knowing that one’s relationship with food can be impacted by many factors. Being able to participate in this journey kindles my passion for helping others be empowered to achieve their goals and have a healthy relationship with food, and improve their quality of life.

Hyundo (a.k.a. Hans) Kim is a licensed acupuncturist in Illinois and a former professor at the prestigious Sangji University in Korea. He received his bachelor’s degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Then he graduated from Emperor's College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, CA with Magna Cum Laude and spent the next eight years in Korea, working at Korean Research Institute of Geriatrics as the senior researcher and then at Sangji University.

My nutrition counseling approach would be described as weight neutral, client-centered, and evidence-based. I believe everyone has the potential to actualize a life free from the burdens of dieting, the pressure of self-criticism, and the distress of consistent body dissatisfaction. I also believe clients nutritionally affected by certain medical diagnoses can find joy in preparing meals consistent with their new version of health.

Lindsey Herr is a board-certified Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Lindsey has years of experience working in clinical nutrition, corporate wellness and private practice. For nearly a decade, I have specialized in working with adolescents and adults with disordered eating and medical nutrition therapy. I have worked as an RD in a variety of populations including eating disorders, general nutrition therapy at hospitals, the director of nutrition at a residential treatment facility and outpatient levels of care.
