I began my career in the mental health field as a health educator, where I worked for 17 years. In 1993 I received a breast cancer diagnosis and became interested in complementary modalities, including how to use food to heal myself and others.

I am passionate about helping my clients achieve their nutrition goals and optimizing their health. Specializing in weight management and chronic disease, I develop individualized nutrition plans using sustainable methods that support my client's personal values and foster a lasting transformation.

I use conventional as well as nontraditional treatments for prevention of disease as well as to lose or maintain weight. I studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in China and received my MD in 1993. I am a licensed Associate Chief Physician of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. During my 17 years of practice at the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which is also the National Acupuncture Clinical Research Center of China. I participated in numerous research projects for treating stroke, paralysis, acute and chronic pain, dementia, prostatitis and insomnia with acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.

Brian is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist and a graduate from The Center of Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy in Albany, NY. He is trained in Sports Massage, Medical Massage, Swedish Massage, Traditional Fire Cupping, Chair Massage, RockTape and RockBlades. In addition to his massage training, Brian also has over six years of training and coaching experience and is a CrossFit Level II certified trainer with specialties in Endurance and Kettlebells. It is his belief that every individual is an athlete with specific needs. Therefore each session is crafted with an in-depth understanding of each unique client.
