I began studying Chinese medicine in 1980 and have been practicing since 1992. My practice is devoted to delivering acupuncture and Chinese medicine in their ancient and authentic forms, free from the elaborations of mechanistic approaches, popular health trends, and other modern systems which are not part of Chinese medicine. Chinese medicine provides the knowledge and methodology to deal with complex disease in a gentle, direct and effective manner. It provides the tools to help individuals understand their illness and their relationship to it, and to incorporate directed self-care in addition to therapeutic treatment.

I have worked with Osteopathic doctors and Chiropractors where I have specialized in conditions that include all severities of muscular pain and structural imbalances.I also have had opportunities to work in a variety of environments in which spiritual and emotional growth have been the priority. I form relationships in an open and compassionate way while encouraging honest communication. With this connection I provide insight into a healthy, positive perspective.

Being an integrative medicine physician, board-certified psychiatrist, and a fifth generation traditional Chinese doctor and acupuncturist, I recognize and address all aspects of mind, body and spirit in the health of every patient who comes to see me, even when the initial reason for consultation and treatment was for physical or emotional disorders alone.
