Nick is also a Certified Diabetes Educator with over 10 years experience helping clients manage diabetes. Dana is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed in the state of Illinois. She completed her internship at the UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital where she focused on community nutrition. Prior to her internship, she was awarded graduate student of the year while she completed her Master of Science degree in Food and Nutritional Sciences. Dana became a dietitian because she has a passion for helping others through food and lifestyle changes.

I have a unique perspective as a registered dietitian: There are a limited number of male dietitians, I am a husband, a father, and significant life experience that allows me to truly understand client’s situations, and provide wholistic, realistic, and sustainable changes that can improve not only their physical health, but their mental and emotional health as well.

Melanie Lewis is an experienced registered dietitian living in Chicago. Her curiosity for food and nutrition began at a young age harvesting and preparing the fresh fruits and vegetables grown right in her own backyard. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at Penn State University. After graduation, she traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana to complete over 1000 hours of supervised practice at Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Her experience has allowed her to provide evidence-based nutrition education to diverse populations with a variety of nutritional needs.

Lane is a Certified Registered Dietitian. He completed his dietetic internship at UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial after graduating with a degree in Dietetics from Indiana University. Lane loves creating a safe space for his clients to share and does his best to provide evidence based medical nutrition therapy. He is also a NASM- Certified Personal Trainer, which allows him to combine his passion for nutrition and fitness. In his free time, he enjoys spending time getting creative. Whether it be through photography, drawing, making new recipes, or creating new workouts.

Part of my work as a consultant at Love Yourself Nutrition and as a Registered Dietitian is to provide a comprehensive set of services to help boost clients' confidence and offer support as they navigate their health and wellness challenges. I especially enjoy working with people on their weight loss goals. Weight loss is a very personal experience and there are so many recommendations out there on the "best way" to do it. I believe the relationship we have with food is extremely important when we are on a weight loss journey and that the psychology behind it has to be at the forefront of this journey.

Dr. Kaiyan Luo studied under Jiwu Chen, one of China's most famous doctors of traditional Chinese medicine. Dr. Luo studied both Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine. He graduated from Guangxi University of TCM. Dr. Luo practiced both Medicine for 5 years before moving to the United States in 2001. 22 years of work experience in clinical practice and supervision. He prescribes personalized treatment plan for each patient by the Chinese medicine. Dr. Luo brings to her practice of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) years of experience in both China and the United States. Luo’s years as a teacher and practitioner in hospitals, specialized clinics and private practice enable her to blend a compassionate understanding of patient needs with a balanced and sensible vision of health and healing through acupuncture and TCM. Dr. Luo is a frequent lecturer to physicians and acupuncturists. She gained national attention for successfully bringing a Lupus patient into remission, as reported by the U.S. News and World Report.

I am Board Certified in Integrative and functional Medicine. That means that I work with clients to find the root causes of their symptoms in a holistic way. We are learning that maintaining our gut health is the root of treating many diseases including autoimmune, inflammatory, skin, obesity, cancer, allergies, and more. I work with clients to figure out why they are struggling with a condition and treat it using food as medicine, identifying food sensitivities, providing nutrients to maximize the body's functioning, and if needed, I do cooking sessions to teach how to make healthy food taste great.
