I hold a Doctorate of Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College, Boulder Colorado . I am a Diplomat of Acupuncture, a Diplomat of Chinese Herbology, and a Diplomat of Oriental Medicine (including Asian Bodywork Modalities, NCCAOM). My special interests include Internal Medicine, Women's Health, and patient education. I believe that treating each patient holistically involves extensive questioning, diverse treatment methods, and dedication from both patient and practitioner. Dr Sun was graduated and earned her Oriental MD degree from the medical school in China (North China Medical College), Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is the third generation of traditional Chinese medical doctors in her family and now she has over 20 years experience in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.

I primarily work with women from the ages of 21-35 who are struggling with depression, anxiety, life issues, and unhappiness. While working together we are able to find an individualized plan that will suit your needs. We will use foods, handouts, cooking demonstrations, goals, and other healing techniques to assist you in becoming the person you always dreamed you could be!

Karen is a New York State licensed, nationally certified Five Element acupuncturist. Karen earned a Master of Acupuncture degree from Tai Sophia Institute in Maryland. As the first accredited acupuncture program in the United States, Tai Sophia's program combines rigorous classroom teaching with rich clinical experiences. As a result, Karen has a strong theoretical and philosophical foundation of how to treat each patient with skill, compassion and care.

In this ever changing world of nutrition, I enjoy helping patients decipher the many myths and fads related to a healthy diet. As a Registered Dietitian, Certified Nutritionist, and Certified Diabetes Educator, I am passionate about helping others feel better and live healthier lives. I enjoy staying up to date with current nutritional science and research, and apply this information into a realistic, simple approach to everyday life.
