Hi! I’m Farah and I’m a Registered Dietitian (RD) and a Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) based in New York City. I have a Masters in Food & Nutrition, and a Masters in Fine Art! I'm a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN), and I work with clients on variety of health issues including weight management, sports nutrition, diabetes and more. My goal is to help you manage your health diet with ease and confidence for the long-term. You won't work with me forever, but you will learn for a lifetime of health!

I have been a NYS licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbologist for 15 years. A native of Thailand, I have my masters degree in Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and have studied at the China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Centre in Beijing, China. I received a certification from the Wat Po Traditional Medical School (Bangkok) and have been profiled for my healing practice in Conde Nast Traveler and Self Magazine. I am also a certified Yoga Siromani and studied at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India with the late Mr. Iyengar.

I am a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac), and a Certified Herbal Specialist, who had followed my family's medical tradition. My father is a Neurologist who successfully integrated Chinese Medicine into his primary practice. I also had the honor of training with Dr. Jeffrey Yuen, the 88th generation Taoist Priest, an expert in School of Classical Chinese Medicine, also called "Extraordinary Vessels". This ancient yet relevant and sophisticated system addresses patient's maladies with a personalized approach .This allows not only to get the best results, but caters to any special needs of the patient.

The work I do is based on Chinese medicine, one of the oldest holistic healing traditions, and can address many different kinds of issues. Health, according to Chinese medicine, occurs when the "qi", or "vital energy", is moving smoothly and harmoniously through its pathways in the body. When this happens we experience a wonderful sense of well-being and connection in our lives. This can be felt on the physical level, pain management is one benefit, and also on the mental, emotional and spiritual levels, as the qi affects all aspects of our being.

I started my career in clinical nutrition with a weight loss of over 70 lbs. Since then, I have obtained my graduate degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and am currently on the board of directors of the National Lipid Association and the Clinical Nutrition Coordinator at the NYU School of Medicine. It is based on Zen Shiatsu, Zero Balancing, Myofascial Release, and CranioSacral Therapy. You wear loose, comfortable clothing and lie on a massage table placed over a Therapeutic Magnetic Grid. No oils are used. I notice where your tension is, where your weaknesses are and where you have the tendency toward illness. I pay special attention to problems associated with the neck and the back. Pain relief and freedom of movement is a priority.
