I am a registered dietitian (RD) and a certified nutrition support clinician (CNSC) with 12 years of experience providing medical nutrition therapy. I have an undergraduate and a graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics and I am currently pursuing a doctorate degree in clinical nutrition to further advance my knowledge and skills as a RD. I am very passionate about helping others and I strongly believe that non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, etc. are preventable by making certain lifestyle changes and I aim to provide sustainable ways to make those changes rather than a "diet" approach.

Claire Allen MS, RDN, LDN is a nutrition expert with a focus on gastrointestinal disease and disorders. She received her Master’s in Science in Nutrition from the University of Illinois at Chicago and has worked in a private outpatient gastroenterology clinic the past 4+ years. Her expertise includes dietary management of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), Crohn's disease, Celiac disease, Ulcerative Colitis (UC), Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE), Congenital Sucrase Isomaltase Deficiency (CSID), Gastroparesis, GERD and low histamine diets.

In my undergraduate program at Benedictine University, I was awarded the community nutrition award; which is awarded to dietetic students that provide service to the community through nutrition. Fast forward a few years, and I have been a dietitian for almost 4 years. It is enlightening to see how much has changed since the beginning of my career. As well as how much I have learned and grown throughout while educating clients about their nutrition needs. I am a Registered dietitian and Integrative and Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner (IFNCP). I have over 25 years experience in both academic and clinical dietetics. While traditional medicine treats the body as individual separate organs, as a Functional Medicine dietitian, I view the body as one integrated system.

She holds a current position as a full time outpatient dietitian at a top-hospital in Chicago. After completing her undergraduate nutrition degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) she wanted to expand her knowledge and pursue a Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Wellness.
