I primarily treat chronic pain and musculoskeletal injuries. My belief is that these are often multi-faceted. Injuries can ultimately be a result of structural or movement imbalances that go beyond a simple slip and fall. Pain itself can have multiple causes; there are different "types" of pain. As such, patients often need a diverse approach and my goal is to help guide this process.

I practiced in Los Angeles, Santa Monica & Beverly Hills for 15 yrs before moving to Portland in 2016. Over 23 yrs of practice has taught me how to treat many different, complex health issues and stress & pain management. I specialized in Infertility and Women's Health for many years & still provide on-site acupuncture for IVF patients the day of their embryo transfer. With over a decade of experience in the world of movement and mindfulness, Kate focuses on getting people out of pain and living in a more embodied relationship with their present life. She has spent time in the research of chronic pain and its neurological impact on our autonomic nervous system, informing her holistic approach to orthopedic treatment. Most recently, she has studied in the Sports Medicine Acupuncture Certification program, the most comprehensive orthopedic post-graduate program available to acupuncturists. A native of China, Dr. Lu is widely recognized as an exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced senior practitioner in the arts of acupuncture, herbal medicine and Chinese tuina massage for two decades. Formally educated and trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine, both in China and the U.S., and with 20 years of teaching, research, and clinical experience in those two countries, Dr. Lu has helped thousands of patients to achieve their goals of living healthy and happier lives.

I have been a practicing physician for 20 years. As a Naturopathic Doctor I specialize in musculoskeletal rehabilitation (acute and chronic joint and muscle pain), and women’s health (PMS, menopause, fatigue, insomnia, thyroid, hormones). In evaluation I use a variety of assessment tools including functional exams, labs, and imaging. I have a unique functional approach when addressing musculoskeletal pain that comes from years of training in human movement.

Hi! I’m Dr. Bethany and I am so honored to share my passion for naturopathic medicine with you. I’m a licensed naturopathic doctor (ND) trained as a primary care physician and have completed additional training focused in reproductive health, fertility awareness method, and pelvic floor therapy. Some of my favorite areas of health to support include: Preconception/postpartum care, menstrual disorders including PCOS, PMS, PMDD, endocrine imbalances including Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. I practice with an emphasis on body literacy and cycle tracking for adolescents through adulthood.

Dr Howell will utilize chiropractic manipulative therapy, electrical therapeutic modalities, soft tissue massage, stretching, and strengthening exercises to treat his patients. Focus is first on relieving any pain that is present, then rehabilitating the injured area to prevent any long term or recurrent problems.

I develop intensive and comprehensive treatment programs for individuals diagnosed with all types and stages of cancer. I utilize IV therapies such as dichloroacetate (DCA), vitamin C, lipoic acid, DMSO and other nutrients, in addition to ultraviolet blood irradiation (UVBI). I am also trained in the Kelley Enzyme Protocol, which utilizes very high dose pancreatic enzymes. In addition to these therapies all patients are on specific dietary, detoxification and stress management programs.

I have a clinical focus in women's health, environmental health, sports medicine, and mental health. I see patients for hormone management, chronic infection management, general medicine, chronic illness and autoimmune disease management, regenerative medicine, weight management programs, corrective exercise programs, therapeutic injection therapies, and craniosacral therapy. I also have a special interest in patients with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. I have a passion for providing accessible medical care for under-served populations and teaching foundational lifestyle practices that promote patient empowerment.

I practice an intuitive art form rooted in scientific knowledge. Traditional medicine does not specialize in treating the myofascial restrictions that may be involved in chronic pain conditions or structural dysfunction. The tried and true techniques of deep tissue massage and myofascial release aim to restore the normal functioning of fascia by breaking up the glue that binds these adhesions. I do this by applying slow, sustained pressure, gradually working up to the threshold of what you can tolerate.

Dr. Rose Paisley, ND graduated in 2002, and has been helping patients to identify and create their optimal health with naturopathic medicine. Over the years she has honed her expertise in integrative cancer care, endocrinology, gastroenterology, nutrition, and mental and emotional well being. Dr. Paisley strives to inspire health through education, positive change, personal growth, and evidence-based medicine rooted in natural health strategies.
