I empower my clients to reach their health goals in a sustainable manner by helping them regain control, create sustainable change and develop a positive relationship with food. I am a career healthcare provider with a 23-year Western medical ICU background prior to entering the field of acupuncture/TCM. My experience as an RCP-NPS at some of the top teaching/research hospitals in the US - and abroad - uniquely informs my integrative approach to treatment. For the past 12 years, the practice of TCM has allowed me to bring the most modern scientific understanding to the truly comprehensive holistic approach on which this ancient healing system is premised. I received my MAOM in 2012; completed doctoral studies at Five Branches University San Jose in 2023. I practice in both the Wash DC and Tucson areas.

An essential principal of Naturopathic medicine is the "healing power of nature"(Vis Medicatrix Naturae). This concept forms the foundation of my belief and approach to medicine. While I treat a wide variety of chronic degenerative diseases, cancer is a passion and important focus of my practice. As such I was a professor of Oncology at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, where I instructed 4th year Naturopathic medical students. I also served on the board of directors for the "Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians" (OncANP). I was a past Vice President and chair of research for this specialty organization.

I found naturopathic medicine the hard way- after coming to a point in my own health where conventional physicians said they had "reached the end of the road" in treatment options. The irony was that this statement marked the beginning the road leading me to a career devoted to getting to the root cause of disease and utilizing compassionate medicine that treats the whole person. I was born & raised in Tucson and received my doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ with an emphasis in fertility and women’s health.

"Fall down seven times, get up eight" sums up my approach to healing. I specialize in Japanese Acupuncture which uses more subtle techniques as well as polarity. I have written a book "Grasping the Gecko by the Tail" on Japanese Acupuncture and teach at the Asian Institute.
