I am a Licensed Acupuncturist with decades experience. I studied at Hubei University of Chinese Medicine, China, for five years and received my medical degree. For several years, I held a staff position as an attending physician at The Hospital of Tongji Medical University. I earned my PhD in Medicine at the University of Leuven, Belgium, and certified by Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) in the United States. I have published chapters in several books and over thirty original articles on Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine in peer-reviewed journals. I have experience with patients who have diverse backgrounds and various conditions.

My Ideal client is one who is looking for a safe and truly holistic (meaning whole body including mind/spirit) alternative treatment for thier chronic or acute illness. One who is willing to put forth the time and energy into getting well and not simply treating symptoms. In a 1995 Nutrition in Medical Science Class, I discovered that statistically, African Americans suffered disproportionately from many chronic diseases. I made it my goal in this life to discover a solution to alter the trajectory of the problem. I now help African-Americans develop a proper relationship with the food they eat by incorporating culture into the recipe of active living, glorious nutrition and wellness!

Sara has been a Registered Dietitian since 2016. She specializes in providing medical nutrition therapy for oncology patients. She works with patients prior to starting cancer treatment, during treatment, and for nutrition therapy after completing treatment. During her spare time, Sara enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and hiking.
