She earned her Bachelor's degree in Professional Health Studies and a Master's of Science in Oriental Medicine from Florida College of Integrative Medicine. This is coupled with the fact that acupuncture and Chinese Medicine were a part of her daily life, growing up. Mei has also studied under several celebrated physicians, including Professor Gao Zhi Xiang who has practiced acupuncture for over sixty years.
