I launched my private practice in 1996. Since 2015 my continuing studies have encompassed in-depth explorations in anatomy & physiology through Kinections, Inc. (Sacramento CA) & Bay Grass Institute (Lutherville MD). With this enhanced understanding I'm able to combine the various modalities I'm trained & certified into an integrative somatic therapy. In your initial appointment there will be a review of your health history, discussion of your goals, relevant assessments, & a hands-on treatment. Subsequent appointments can be scheduled for 60, 75, or 90 minutes depending on your needs.

Clients have more freedom in their lives to be more active, vital and/or well. Many appreciate the drug-free relief for various concerns, including pain, fatigue, allergies, digestive distress, fertility, sleep disorders, emotional distress, and many other symptoms. In addition to symptom relief, there are more subtle ways patients improve. "I feel lighter," "I am less irritable," "I am less rushed," and "I feel more compassionate" are some recent comments. Joy, contentedness, awe, stillness and clear thinking are all potential outcomes in addition to clients' initial concerns.

I help people rebuild trust with food, eating, and their bodies without shame, rigid food rules, or weight-focused care. My work is grounded in a non-diet, weight-inclusive, and trauma-informed approach, with a focus on eating disorders, disordered eating, ADHD, PCOS, body image, and intuitive eating.
Many of my clients come to me feeling exhausted by food noise, guilt around eating, inconsistent hunger cues, or the pressure to “get it right.” Together, we work toward steadier nourishment, more flexibility, and a relationship with food that feels less consuming and more supportive.

Many people turn to acupuncture for natural, effective, and personalized care. Whether you are dealing with pain, stress, or simply want to feel your best, acupuncture can help restore balance and experience improved overall health, greater mental clarity and a heightened sense of emotional wellbeing.
Although acupuncture involves the insertion of needles, the procedure is considered minimally invasive and very safe. Unlike hypodermic needles used for injections, acupuncture needles are extremely thin, flexible, and solid, making them much less likely to cause tissue trauma.

Although I can help with a wide range of conditions and concerns, my primary speciality is diabetes (Type 1 and Type 2). I prioritize providing clear, ground-up explanations and guidelines that enable you to eat the foods you love without fear and have a more thorough understanding of your condition/blood sugars and how to improve them.

The focus of Marcie's practice is to see each person as a whole and together develop a more natural pathway to health. We review each person’s history and lifestyle then create a plan to correct the underlying imbalances. Whether the person has numerous physical challenges and seeks to become healthier, or they are relatively healthy and simply want to reduce stress and stay in balance, we are here to help. Many seek an alternative to drugs to relieve headaches, neck, back, knee or shoulder pain. Women seek natural support for fertility, menopause or PMS. Those with allergies get relief from and even resolve indoor/outdoor allergies

The people I work with best tend to share one thing in common: they're ready for a smarter, more personal approach to their health. Many are managing chronic conditions and want nutrition to play a more active role in how they feel day to day. Some clients arrive feeling tired in more ways than one. There's the physical fatigue that lingers no matter how much rest they get, and then there's the mental fatigue of trying to follow nutrition advice that constantly contradicts itself. We start by listening, then we get specific. Each client receives a personalized plan shaped around their goals, preferences, and unique physiology.
