Katie is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist that collaborates with all clients to create sustainable lifestyle changes that support their overall health and well-being. Food acts as fuel but also has the ability to cultivate memories, emotions and traditions. She believes that food should not only support someone’s physical health, but their social, emotional, and mental health as well. With an “all foods fit”, body positive approach, Katie focuses on identifying individual barriers and personal preferences as she works closely to establish confidence in clients reaching their unique goals.

I studied and practiced both Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in China. I also received a Master degree in Nutrition Sciences from the University of Washington in Seattle. I have over 20 years of experience in health care, as an OB/GYN doctor in China, a clinical research specialist in the department of OB/GYN at the University of Washington Medical Center, and a certified nutritionist for the US Federal WIC program. With knowledge, experience, and passion, I started my private practice of TCM in 1996.

Flourish Nutrition Counseling offers individualized support for those who are struggling with eating disorders, disordered eating and those looking to end the cycle of chronic dieting. All of our Registered Dietitians are also Certified Intuitive Eating Counselors, meaning we are equipped to help you relearn your body's physical sensations of hunger and fullness to ensure you meet your biological and psychological needs. We practice from a Health At Every Size (HAES) informed lens, meaning we do not focus on the number on the scale but rather the behaviors that contribute to overall health. Sofia is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in working with adults and adolescents with Eating Disorders, Disordered Eating, Digestive issues (IBS, IBD, Low FODMAP), Hormonal Imbalances (PCOS, etc.), and interested in Sports Nutrition. Sofia is passionate about helping others build a positive relationship with food and their bodies. Nutrition is not one-size-fits all, and Sofia believes in the importance of having a client-centered approach and providing personalized nutrition care. Her past experiences have driven her desire to help others reach lifestyle changes in a sustainable and practical way.

My path as a Massage Therapist began in 1995 as a student and graduated with honors from Seattle Massage School at the Greenlake Campus - Seattle, Washington in 1996. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist -WA state, Board Certified Therapeutic Massage Bodywork (BCTMB), Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT), Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), hold an Intra Oral Endorsement on my Washington State LMT license and certified in Pregnancy and Post Natal Massage. In the fall of 1996 I completed Reiki Mastery Training in Sedona. Healing Touch levels 1-4 in Minneapolis 2015- 17.

I have been a practitioner since I graduated from Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1991. For my MS, MD and PHD degrees I specialized in the areas of neurology and gerontology.I practiced acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM) and TCM health Center in Minnesota from October 2004 to April 2010. I practice acupuncture and Chinese herbology in Jing River Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine Edina Clinic, Woodbury Clinic, Roseville Clinic and Hastings Clinic in different location now.

I maintain a general naturopathic practice helping people with digestion, IBS, allergies, arthritis, depression/anxiety, diabetes, infections, and hormone problems like hypothyroidism. I specializes in treating Autism, ADHD, Lyme, fibromyalgia, and providing adjunctive cancer care to help people reduce side effects of chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. Many people chose my practice because they have problems that can be difficult to address with only a conventional approach.
