I have been practicing as a dietitian for 30 years and enjoy working with gestational moms and clients who need individualized counseling to treat their pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes and other health conditions. As a certified diabetes educator, I also work closely with dialysis patients in outpatient clinics. I like to combine acupuncture, Chinese herbs with lifestyle changes to help you achieve overall wellness. I received a Masters of Oriental Medicine by the International Institute of Chinese Medicine, achieved a certification in Oriental Medicine by the NCCAOM and am currently a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Virginia. Acupuncture improves the body’s functions and promotes the natural self-healing process by stimulating specific anatomic sites--commonly referred to as acupuncture points, or acupoints.
