Dr. John has been in practice for 25 years, having earned his doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in 1998. After working for two years with a Medical Doctor, he opened The Natural Health Medical Clinic in 2000 on Beacon Hill, just South of Downtown Seattle. He specializes in treating pain and injuries, as well as treating a wide range of health conditions such as diabetes, chronic fatigue, poor immune function and hypthyroidism. Areas of special study include hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) which stimulates stem cell production, ozone therapy, homeopathy, herbal medicine, neural therapy, prolozone, PRP.

I love working with patients of all genders, neurotypes, and identities who are ready to explore their relationship to food with curiosity and compassion with an affirming care team. I know that the best expert on your life and experience is you, so I take a collaborative, client-led approach to my work. My counseling style includes humor, sarcasm, compassionate honesty, and appearances by my two Corgi dogs (Barley and Pepper).

With the plethora of pervasive nutrition advice and a culture fixated on health and thinness it makes sense to be overwhelmed, frustrated, and hurt by the task of feeding and caring for ourselves. Messages about “good” versus “bad” foods (and bodies) pervade our psyche from the youngest of ages. We are made to believe that there is a path to the perfect body and diet, and that it is just around the corner if we only continue the exhausting pursuit. At its core, healing from an eating disorder involves addressing not only the physical manifestations of disordered eating but also the underlying psychological, emotional, and often deeply ingrained beliefs and traumas that contribute to the disorder.

I use holistic approach to bring my patients' health to the most optimal level through acupuncture, Chinese Herbal remedies, dietary and lifestyle changes, cupping, moxibustion and/or massage so that they can take control of their health themselves in the future.

We will customize and integrate the massage session with myofacial release, deep tissue, swedish and stretch therapy massage. You may also request to add Cupping, Hot Stones, Percussion Massage Gun with Theragun or CBD oil to your session. Massage sessions are therapeutic, healing and relaxing. All massage sessions are the full time you are scheduled for.

My name is Misty Nason, owner of Viva Nutrition Counseling LLC. I’m a licensed Registered Dietitian and Certified Renal Specialist, lover of food and life-long student. I have been a dietitian for over 21 years and worked with people who have Chronic Kidney Disease and Nephrolithiasis (kidney stones) for the past 19 years. I also have a passion for providing nutrition counseling for Diabetes, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Plant-Based Eating and Sports Nutrition. I have trained extensively in clinical nutrition and integrative functional nutrition.
