I am a passionate dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator and strive to help others become their best self through nutrition and lifestyle changes. I work with clients with a variety of issues specializing in weight management, diabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome, heart disease as well as pediatric nutrition. With over 35 years of experience in China and USA, Dr. Jia is especially successful in treating conditions such as different type of chronic pain, migraines, cancer-related symptoms, facial paralysis, emotional disorders, asthma, allergies, digestive disorders, other difficult cases, and other internal medicine complaints. Dr. Jia also specialized in pediatric medicine. My services are primarily mobile as I believe that the best way to help a client achieve as high a level of relaxation, is for them to receive my services in their own environment. I have just moved to the Houston area and have an office located at Hand and Stone in the Oak Forest area. My ideal client is male or female from the age of 17 to the elder years. They are active in maintaining what is for them, optimal health. My goals in working with each of my clients to share with them practical ways of reducing the effects of the stress, injuries, and other minor trauma effects that can lead to chronic soft tissue maladies.

Growing up the daughter of athletic parents, I became interested in sports, wellness and nutrition at a young age. As a competitive gymnast and diver in college, I found it fascinating that what you ate could effect your sports performance. This lead me down the path to becoming a registered dietitian. I am passionate about helping people of all kinds meet their goals through nutrition and wellness and live a healthier life. Each client has their own personal plan that we devise together, so that it is something they can utilize long term.

I am a native Houstonian who earned my Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from The American College of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine. Prior to my training in acupuncture and herbal medicine, I was a yoga instructor. I completed thorough, well-rounded teacher trainings with Robert Boustany as well as Ana Forrest. I now incorporate my knowledge of the breath, the body & finding balance ~ from the inside, out ~ to my acupuncture practice.
