Dr. Xie (Dr. J) is a national board certified acupuncturist and herbalist (NCCAOM Diplomate of Oriental Medicine). Dr. J is a licensed acupuncturist in Illinois and Wisconsin. He practiced traditional and conventional medicine in China from 1985 to 2005 as a physician and professor at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. He has practiced acupuncture in USA since 2005. He currently is a Professor and a clinical supervisor at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. His training includes 5 years of medical school, 3 years of residency, 7 years of postgraduate training in traditional and conventional medicine.

Dr. Lizhi Wei is a highly respected and accomplished acupuncturist, with over 30 years of experience in the field of traditional Chinese medicine. She received her medical degree from Liaoning Traditional Chinese Medicine University in China, and has since dedicated herself to helping patients achieve optimal health and well-being through the use of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. She is committed to providing safe and effective treatment, and works closely with her patients to develop personalized treatment plans that are tailored to their specific needs.

Practicing since 1996. I take an integrated holistic approach to health and healing—treating the WHOLE PERSON, by incorporating Chinese systems, body-centered methods, structural bodywork, and dietary/nutritional education. Michele is a Registered Licensed Dietitian with extensive experience in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. I not only have years of professional experience, but I have years of life experience. I see you as an individual with unique circumstances and needs. I enjoy getting to know each client and working together to reach attainable, sustainable goals. I practice what I teach and I enjoy the reward of a healthy life. I enjoy hiking, biking and yoga as exercise. There is an activity for everyone (walking is a great one!). I also enjoy gardening and cooking (specialty with food hacks!).

Felicity is a Board-Certified Registered Dietitian who is licensed in the state of Illinois. She completed multiple dietetic internships before graduating with her master’s in nutrition from University of Illinois at Chicago. As a former Division I athlete, she has valuable experience in sports nutrition. She is passionate about nutrition education and became an RD to help people create the best version of themselves.

I have been a dietitian since 2017 and have learned so much throughout the years. I specialize in renal disease, transplant (pre or post), diabetes, blood pressure, or cholesterol management and weight loss. I enjoy developing a good relationship with patients, not just learning about their diet, but their overall lifestyle. I am very flexible depending on patient's learning preferences and am happy to adjust education as needed. I look forward to working with new clients and helping as much as I can!

Sarah Picklo Halabu is a Registered Dietitian specializing in diabetes care. Sarah works with clients who have Type 1 Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, and Gestational Diabetes. She has over 20 years of experience and has earned the highest level of diabetes expertise as a Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist with board certification in advanced diabetes management. She is certified in many diabetes technologies including insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitors, and hybrid closed loop systems.

Anna Petersen is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist, certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed in the state of Illinois. She graduated with a Master of Science degree in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics and has 10+ years of clinical experience, providing Medical Nutrition Therapy to complex patients in a fast paced acute care setting. Anna’s experience as an inpatient dietitian has provided her with a strong foundation, working with various disease states as well as diverse populations throughout the lifespan.

Nazia received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL. She then went onto complete her Master of Science in Nutrition and Wellness (MSNW) and Masters of Public Health (MPH) alongside her Dietetic Internship at Benedictine University. She then worked for Kaplan University for their Nutrition Department as an adjunct instructor. She has also worked as a clinical dietitian for Good Samaritan Hospital. While at Kaplan Nazia completed her Master of Science in Education in Instructional technology (MS Ed.). Nazia is currently working on her PhD in Health Sciences.

As a registered dietitian and psychotherapist, I specialize in research based weight management, chronic disease prevention and health promotion using a Health at Every Size and non-diet approach. I have worked in inpatient, partial hospitalization and IOP settings treating those with eating disorders over 7 years and in private practice for over 5 years.
