As a practitioner of acupuncture and Chinese medicine I use subtle information from the body to promote healing. I enjoy using visceral manipulation, cranial sacral, ashiatsu massage, cupping, and moxibustion to address musculoskeletal pain, psychoemotional issues such as insomnia and addiction, and improving digestion. I provide the body with subtle information so that the body's own life force can be strengthened. I chose the name Joy Point Acupuncture, because good medicine should put people at ease and on a path towards well being. Dr. Kate Kass is a functional medicine physician in the state of Washington. Dr. Fred Chard Dr. Chard received his DC degree from Western States Chiropractic, Portland, Oregon in 1977. His first animal patients were a goat, and then horses. From 1984-5, Dr. Chard also attended acupuncture college in Honolulu, HI, at the Amerasian Institute The doctor moved to Washington, and worked with a holistic veterinarian in Renton, WA, providing animal chiropractic care to dogs and cats from 1989 to 2001. Emmilia’s passion for integrative medicine and whole foods nutrition has evolved throughout her life and career. Like many of her clients, she grew up learning from various outlets that wellness should look and behave a certain way. After learning the transformative impact of integrative functional nutrition through her education at Bastyr University, and witnessing the shame, confusion, and damage that can come from a narrow approach to health through her work with patients, it has become clear to her that one-size does not fit all.
