In 20 years I have found that they don't run enough tests to find the actual problem. My blood panel includes 9 tests of thyroid, a digestive marker, A1C, all 5 liver enzymes, a marker showing tissue damage and all body systems. I look at all levels of thyroid function, especially in autoimmune thyroid. You have to manage the immune system with autoimmune to find the correct dosage of thyroid hormone.
