Alex is a Board-Certified Registered Dietitian with experience in both medical nutrition therapy and functional medicine. She holds a current position as a full time outpatient dietitian at a top-hospital in Chicago. After completing her undergraduate nutrition degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) she wanted to expand her knowledge and pursue a Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Wellness. Alex's goal is to help people adopt sustainable healthy habits even for the busiest of lifestyles without sacrificing their relationship with food.

I am a Registered dietitian and Integrative and Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner (IFNCP). I have over 25 years experience in both academic and clinical dietetics. I have received the "Outstanding Woman Award" from the City of Chicago for my work as well as being named one of the top 10 dietitians in Chicago by Expertise.com. While traditional medicine treats the body as individual separate organs, as a Functional Medicine dietitian, I view the body as one integrated system.

Wholistic, realistic, and sustainable. These three words are at the core of how I live, why I became a registered dietitian, and how I engage with my clients. I have a unique perspective as a registered dietitian: There are a limited number of male dietitians, I am a husband, a father, and significant life experience that allows me to truly understand client’s situations, and provide wholistic, realistic, and sustainable changes that can improve not only their physical health, but their mental and emotional health as well.

From a place of compassion and personal experience, I help people find peace in their relationship with food and body. Spanning the age spectrum, from her founding her own practice as Youth Sports Dietitian LLC to her 19 years in geriatrics as a clinical dietitian, Emily is a Board-Certified Registered Dietitian Nutritionist licensed in Illinois and Missouri and Certified Youth Nutrition Specialist. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Central Missouri State University, graduating as the chapter’s President of Kappa Omicron Nu Honors Fraternity. Her didactic practicum was completed at Jewish College of Nursing and Allied Health in association with Barnes Jewish Hospital and Washington University.

Laurie is the founder and chief executive manager of Insight EAP LLC. She is a licensed clinical social worker as well as a licensed acupuncturist who practices integrative health care in Chicago and Park Ridge, IL. Her integrative approach is one that incorporates psychotherapy, Chinese Medicine, nutritional counseling, and exercise, treating the mind - body in a truly holistic way.

I was born and raised in Chicago, attended the University of Dayton for undergrad (Go Flyers!) and received my master's degree at Central Michigan University. I currently work at the University of Chicago as the liver transplant dietitian, specializing in all types of liver disease. I also own my own consulting business which has allowed me to broaden my expertise to serve an even wider variety of patient populations. When I am not working, I am spending time with my family- my husband, Kevin, and my two young (crazy) boys, Marty and Charlie, and have one more on the way!

Dawn is a Registered Dietitian, Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist. She completed her internship at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison after graduating from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. She has experience providing Medical Nutrition Therapy in clinical nutrition, hospitals, outpatient clinics and dialysis centers. She is also a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. Dawn’s appreciation for food started at an early age, while growing up and working in her family’s diner. This developed into a passion for nutrition and how food can help with healing and overall wellbeing.

Although I am a “dietitian,” I disagree with “dieting,” especially for weight loss. It leaves us feeling deprived which always backfires in the long run. When we meet, I ask a lot of questions about your health history, medications, food and lifestyle habits, blood work and more. This helps me to help you decide which areas you want to focus on to start. In follow-up sessions we build on this. We will work together to develop a realistic food and lifestyle plan designed for you!

Jessica became a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist after completing her Dietetic Internship and master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition through Murray State University, Kentucky. She has been afforded the opportunity to work in many clinical settings throughout her career, including rehab facilities, small and large hospitals, and within physician’s offices in addition to one-on-one clients. You’ll hear me say this all the time because I truly believe it: all foods fit. There are no “good” and “bad” foods. The only time I’m going to tell you not to eat something is if you’re allergic to it or if it has mold on it. Other than that, all foods fit! Haley is a Registered Dietitian practicing lifestyle medicine. This whole-person approach to wellness recognizes that our physical health is very much connected to our mental/emotional health. Haley received her education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and completed her dietetic internship in Chicago through Aramark Healthcare+. Haley is also a Registered 500-hour Yoga Teacher, and Reiki Master. She integrates various complementary and alternative medicine techniques into her nutrition sessions. When Haley is not working you can find her at the climbing gym, practicing yoga, or exploring the outdoors!
