Jerusha D. Stephens, LAc, FABORM, is a board certified Diplomat of Acupuncture and Herbology, nationally certified by the NCCAOM. Jerusha specializes in the treatment of fertility with acupuncture and Oriental medicine. She is presently Founder and President of the Mississippi Oriental Medicine Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to acupuncture advocacy. Her work with MOMA helped to usher in Mississippi's Acupuncture Practice Act in 2009, which allowed for the licensure of acupuncture in her home state.
Jerusha has been studying Oriental Medicine since 1998. She graduated from the Academy of Oriental Medicine in Austin, Texas, in 2002.
Jerusha is honored to be the first licensed acupuncturist in Mississippi. She practices with Blake Mitchell, MD, at Mon Ami Spa in Jackson, Mississippi. She recently became a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine, which distinguishes her as a specialist in the field of fertility.
As required by state law, you must receive a written referral from a Mississippi licensed medical doctor before acupuncture can be given. Acupuncture can be a tremendous adjunct to your physician's treatment plan, so ask your doctor if he/she thinks this practice might be something that would benefit you.
