With a master's degree in nutrition and formal education in herbal science, cooking, and Ayurvedic medicine, my philosophy blends up-to-date science, modern natural medicine, and Eastern philosophy. I believe in caring for both the body and emotional well-being for optimal health. My passion lies in educating and empowering people to take control of their health. As both a Sports-, and Eating Disorders Dietitian, I've had the pleasure of helping athletes achieve personal records, recover faster, heal from injuries, and reach new levels of performance, in addition to helping people improve their relationship with food and their body as they navigate recovery from an eating disorder or disordered eating.

After extensive research and dissection of the human body during my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado, I went on to massage school in Washington. My understanding of the the body and especially soft tissue led to my specialty in injury treatment and sports massage which entails deep tissue work, myofascial therapy as well as relaxation techniques to help your mind and your body get to a more efficiently functioning state.

Dr. Fred Chard Dr. Chard received his DC degree from Western States Chiropractic, Portland, Oregon in 1977. His first animal patients were a goat, and then horses. From 1984-5, Dr. Chard also attended acupuncture college in Honolulu, HI, at the Amerasian Institute The doctor moved to Washington, and worked with a holistic veterinarian in Renton, WA, providing animal chiropractic care to dogs and cats from 1989 to 2001. I practice the gentle Japanese stye of acupuncture and I have trained in Tokyo, Japan in both 2006 and 2007. I have 15 years of experience in the field of acupuncture and I specialize in the treatment of chronic pain and injury rehabilitation, especially back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, and foot and ankle pain and headaches. I have also had great success in treating women's health issues, particularly PMS, cramping, infertility, prenatal care and menopause.

My areas of specialty are obesity, pre-diabetes and diabetes. I can also assist in teaching the keto or ketogenic diet. My focus within my Master's in Nutrition was on a core specialty on obesity, and within that I specialized in diabetes. Also able to help with healthy diets for pregnancy, postpartum and breastfeeding (I am a former midwife). I am a former diabetic, now in remission. My training has taught me that remission is possible for many people with Type 2 diabetes.

I am a Naturopathic Physician who practices primary care with a specialty in hormone management. I graduated from Bastyr University with a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and completed a two year residency with a goal of helping men and women achieve optimal health via a mix of herbal and conventional modalities.
