As a registered clinical dietitian I've spent much of my career working with individuals struggling with mental health disorders and disordered eating. I strive to maximize client outcomes through a gentle nutrition philosophy based on an anti-dieting framework and develop treatment plans under the Health at Every Size philosophy.

I was trained at Zhejiang Traditional Medical College and Nanjing Traditional Chinese Medical University in China. After I received my Chinese medical degree in 1985 and MS degree in 1988, I worked as an Assistant Professor and Professor at the Medical College of Wenzhou, P.R. of China. After I received my Ph.D from Kanazawa Medical University, Japan, I engaged in both high quality medical research and clinical work in traditional Chinese medicine. Upon completion of my degree, I decided to continue my research in pulmonary biology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

Nicole Burnett is a graduate of SHI Medical Massage School in Lebanon, Ohio. She is a licensed massage therapist through the Ohio State Medical Board and also holds her national certification in Therapeutic Massage and Body Work. She has additional training in CranioSacral Therapy Levels I, II, III, S.E.R. and Lymphatic Drainage through the renown Upledger Institute. In addition she is trained in Brain Therapy from the Chickly Institute. She also holds certifications in Deep Tissue Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Energy Therapy, and is trained in the John Barnes Method of Myofascial Release.

Melanie Schaffer is a registered dietitian who holds a bachelor's degree in nutrition and dietetics from The University of Akron, where she also completed her dietetic internship. She has extensive experience working with clients who suffer from eating disorders and disordered eating and has worked in all levels of care. Clem&Thyme Nutrition is a functional nutrition private practice. Leslie Edmunds, the owner, moved her practice to the Yellow Springs farmhouse location in 2017. She remodeled the farmhouse to include offices and a teaching kitchen. They also have a garden so their clients can take home produce from their appointments.
