I'm Rebecca Alcosser (she/her/hers), an anti-diet Registered Dietitian based in New York City. My practice specializes in the treatment of Eating Disorders with the goal of helping you heal your relationship with food and your body. My expertise is treating people with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Orthorexia, and ARFID. I have extensive experience treating eating disorders in higher levels of care including partial hospitalization programs and intensive outpatient programming.

Our relationship with food and our bodies often gets complicated. I enjoy helping people develop a new relationship; one that is not guided by judgement or strict rules. I often work with individuals with eating disorders or erratic eating patterns and have years of experience in successfully helping people apply needed changes to their behaviors but also their thoughts and beliefs. I am an experienced Registered Dietitian, specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, medical nutrition therapy, and general nutrition counseling. I am currently the director of the nutrition department at the NYS Psychiatric Institute, an in-patient treatment unit at Columbia University Medical Center. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. Jennifer completed her Dietetics Internship at New York Presbyterian Hospital and went on to specialize in adult clinical nutrition at New York Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center and NYU Langone Health.

I am a clinically trained, board certified nutritionist specializing in a whole-body approach to health and wellness. Too often, patients are at the mercy of conventional testing methods that overlook many of the symptoms commonly experienced today such as bloating, fatigue, skin conditions, digestive issues, weight gain or loss, brain fog, mood swings, sleep disturbance, pain, sugar imbalance and hormonal issues (to name a few).

Dr. Zhou is a licensed acupuncturist and neuroscientist, he received his MD from China and obtained his PhD in neuroscience from Japan. He had his resident training in Acupuncture, Orthopedics surgery and Neurology in China, he did postdoctoral research at the the Uni. of Texas. Dr. Zhou has worked in the field of brain research at New York Medical College, the Uni. of Pittsburgh, Columbia Uni, and Weill Cornell Medical College. His research interest is synaptic mechanisms, therapeutic solutions for neurologic diseases, pain, memory, and learning, possesses a strong publication record. Trilingual in English, Japanese and Mandarin.
