It is based on Zen Shiatsu, Zero Balancing, Myofascial Release, and CranioSacral Therapy. You wear loose, comfortable clothing and lie on a massage table placed over a Therapeutic Magnetic Grid. No oils are used. I notice where your tension is, where your weaknesses are and where you have the tendency toward illness. I pay special attention to problems associated with the neck and the back. Anna Petersen is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist, certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed in the state of Illinois. She graduated with a Master of Science degree in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics and has 10+ years of clinical experience, providing Medical Nutrition Therapy to complex patients in a fast paced acute care setting. Anna’s experience as an inpatient dietitian has provided her with a strong foundation, working with various disease states as well as diverse populations throughout the lifespan.

I provide an integrative approach to the body that is based on Traditional Chinese Medical Diagnosis. Using Kiiko Matsumoto Style Japanese Acupuncture and Japanese Meridian Therapy, I will work to bring you into a full recovery as efficiently and effectively as possible. This style of acupuncture utilizes a highly systematic method of palpation to gain diagnostic information thru touch. Using thinner needles, extremely gentle needle techniques and moxa, close attention is paid to precise location of acupuncture points and patient feedback is critical in guiding the treatment. Sessions will not be rushed and every effort will be made to assure you feel comfortable. I treat one patient at a time. Sessions are 90 minutes +.
