Hi! I’m Jo. I’ve been a pediatric dietitian for over five years and have worked with a diverse range of patients—from infants leaving the NICU to teenagers leaving for college. I speak with families for a variety of nutrition concerns, including managing picky/restrictive eating behaviors, poor growth, food allergies, celiac disease, irritable bowel disease, and both type 1 and 2 diabetes. Discussing weight and food choices can feel very personal for both parents and children; my role is to support the whole family and help make achieving nutrition goals as easy as possible.

In a 1995 Nutrition in Medical Science Class, I discovered that statistically, African Americans suffered disproportionately from many chronic diseases. I made it my goal in this life to discover a solution to alter the trajectory of the problem.
