Professional Credentials for Naturopaths
DHM
DHM (Doctor of Homeopathic Medicine): Doctors of homeopathic medicine are licensed practitioners who focus on stimulating the body's healing processes to help cure illness. Many homeopaths are not doctors, but those who do have a license to prescribe medication will do so in a holistic fashion characteristic of naturopathy.
MSN
MS (Masters of Science) in naturopathy: A masters of science accredits expertise in specific fields of naturopathy such as holistic nutrition, acupuncture, or oriental medicine. There are several colleges in the United States that offer broad education programs in each sub-discipline.
ND
A naturopathic doctor attends a four-year graduate level naturopathic medical school and is educated in the same sciences as a conventional medical doctor, with an emphasis on holistic and nontoxic approaches. In addition to a standard medical curriculum, the ND is required to complete four years of training in clinical nutrition, acupuncture, homeopathic medicine, botanical medicine, psychology and counseling. An ND takes exams to become licensed by the state in which he or she will practice.

In addition to a standard medical curriculum, the NMD is required to complete four years of training in clinical nutrition, acupuncture, homeopathic medicine, botanical medicine, psychology and counseling. An NMD takes exams to become licensed by the state in which he or she will practice.
RYT
RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher): Becoming a registered yoga teacher first requires an affiliation with a teacher-training program certified by the National Yoga Alliance. A primary certification requires a training course, but after completion teachers may choose to continue their education through additional training programs. Yoga is just one practice in the field of naturopathy.
